NEWS?

I don't remember, was it in Brave New World, or in 1984, where the masses got their news from the approved source, and whatever the news was, they  believed.

We all are shocked and disgusted by the events that have taken place recently, Portland, Denver, Connecticut, but let's think about this.

In the case most recently, Ct., the firearms used were legally obtained, the owner was the first victim, and the KILLER/LAWBREAKER then proceeded to use the STOLEN weapons to kill the other victims.

The KILLER WAS KNOWN TO HAVE MENTAL PROBLEMS, AND HAD A DOCUMENTED HISTORY OF CONFLICTS WITH AUTHORITY.

Think back a bit, if you will, the shooter in denver had a HISTORY OF MENTAL PROBLEMS.

Jared Loughner, the shooter in Tucson, had a HISTORY OF MENTAL PROBLEMS.

ARE YOU STARTING TO SEE A PATTERN?

Now, lets look at the news coverage.  I listened to a cnn reporter ask a young girl, "was everybody frightened and crying?"

another point, yesterday, all the reports were that there were two handguns used and the Bushmaster Rifle was left in the car.  Now, suddenly, today the reports are that there were FOUR (or three, depends on whom you listen to) HANDGUNS and the primary weapon was the RIFLE.

If I fixed aircraft the way these "professionals" report the news, I would NOT have had a forty year career as an aircraft mechanic, I promise you.
